CASA CYTIA hotel is committed to providing its services with sustainability criteria. To achieve this, the family-run hostel carries out activities to promote environmental conservation and the cultural and economic heritage of the region, encouraging the participation of its guests, suppliers, employees, and the general community. All of this is done in compliance with current regulations and rejecting any activity of commercial sexual exploitation of children and adolescents, child labor, and any form of discrimination.

Sustainability Objectives:

  • Protect, conserve, and promote the natural, cultural, and landscape resources of the city of Cartagena de Indias.
  • Prevent and/or reduce the environmental impact caused by tourist activities.
  • Support local socio-economic development.
  • Promote the participation of the local population, employees, suppliers, and guests.

CASA CYTIA hotel is an establishment committed to sustainability, and we adhere to:

LAW 679 OF 2001, where we express our rejection of the Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children and Adolescents, and we inform customers, suppliers, and employees that these practices are punished in accordance with the applicable legal provisions. Additionally, we have a code of conduct to prevent the sexual and commercial exploitation of children, according to Resolution 3840 of December 24, 2009, and Article 1 of Law 1336 of July 21, 2009.

LAW 1333 OF 2009, where we express our rejection of the illegal trafficking of flora and fauna species, and we warn that these practices have stipulated environmental sanctions.

LAW 379 OF 1997, Article 15, where we warn that offenses against the Nation’s cultural heritage have penalties for those who violate the constitutional duty to protect the Nation’s cultural heritage.

LAW 376 OF 2009, where we reject and prevent the consumption of tobacco, alcohol, and other psychoactive substances by minors.
